Do I need to become a Kind One member to log hours on GivePulse?

You can log hours on GivePulse
without becoming a Kind One member. However, if you want Kind One to apply for (PVSA) on your behalf, membership is required.

Does Kind One charge a membership fee?

Joining Kind One is free. However, when we apply for
the PVSA on your behalf, we incur a material cost of $30, which covers taxes and mailing fees.
We’ll ask you to pay before we process your application. However, if your circumstances require us to waive this fee, please let us know.
On the other hand, if your financial situation allows, consider contributing an additional donation to support our administrative costs.

Does Kind One count the community service hours I work for other non-profit groups?

Yes, we count hours fromall non-profit groups and charities.
We may contact you for more information about the organizations and your involvement to ensure the validity of your hours.

Do I need to upload photos when I report my hours?

If you are reporting hours for a project sponsored by Kind One, there is no need to upload photos.
For other projects, we encourage you to do so as we reserve the right to verify your efforts
by asking for photos.

When does Kind One submit applications for the PVSA?


We do it twice a year,
in September and January.
I want to earn a PVSA but don’t have enough hours from my current project.
What can I do?

Look for opportunities within your school's service clubs, support friends who have started their service projects, or consider creating your own service project.

For projects sponsored by Kind One, we appoint parent advisors and ensure supervision by vetted adults. We include parents/guardians in our communications and encourage them to chaperone their children at events.

Can parents get involved with Kind One projects?
Absolutely!
We encourage parents to get involved either
as volunteers or by supporting their children in leading projects.
Parents can also serve as mentors or advisors for projects needing specific expertise.
